JLARF Platform FIVE key features

Professional IT support

JLARF platform is designed by a combination of students of TEFL and English Literature. Among them, those with a hand in IT have ensured that the procedure for scholars to publish their articles, audio-works, video-works, and even educational artworks, are made as easy as can be. At JLARF, tasks such as creating and editing volumes, issues, and articles as well as scheduling publications can be completed with special care by the tech advisory team. However, our long-term target is to evolve the platform into a platform with less workload to our TECH team: when the platform ensures easy maintenance without advanced IT skills, any other JLARF core team member can easily take care of it. JLARF platform is designed to function like parts of human brain.

User-friendly interface on all viewing platforms (smartphones, tablets, computers, etc.)

Today, a significant chunk of research is carried out via tablets or smartphones, a fact acknowledged by JLARF designers from day one. Academic publications often contain graphs, figures, charts and tables, and the appearance of the publication must be accommodating to them. To guarantee the best user experience for our authors when uploading said figures and graphs, we have done our best to design JLARF’s platform with a responsive and intuitive design – so that all content can display exactly as intended on any device or browser.

Built-in Search Engine Optimization features

Another rather important criteria when designing JLARF publishing platform is an SEO-friendly website structure. Since the majority of articles are discovered through Google or Google Scholar searches, it is incumbant on us to design the platform with built-in modules that will help the content appear higher in relevant search results.

HTML support

Full-text format has numerous advantages that fulfill diverse publishers’ needs. Better performance in Google search, article sharing options, ability to include rich interactive content in  articles, and the possibility to copy text and equations are some of the most important benefits that users enjoy when using JLARF’s full-text HTML format.

Easy file uploads

Lastly, when designing JLARF publishing platform, it was necessary  to ensure that it enables our prospective authors and researchers that file uploads would go without the slightest hitch. As a new-generation publishing platform, JLARF allows users to simply drag and drop the article file from their local files straight into the platform’s upload panel. By default, the program then quickly processes the file and automatically formats the layout and content of the work and provides authors with feedback. This is automatically done through of JLARF’s proprietary Research Article Checker (RAC) designed by in-house by our IT group.
